GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND DISASTER MANAGEMENT

This document, drawn up under the responsibility of Isted, is the result of an Cnig and Afigeo intiative. It has enjoyed assistance from the Drast, for the Cnes and from the French Ministry for Ecology and Sustainable Development, for identifying the experiences on use of geographic information systems for risk management.

This collection, widely distributed internationally, presents practical examples of French experiences whose applications are also tools promoting French know-how. These experiences contribute to enriching thinking on the use of new information and communications technologies at the service of the environment.
