This one-year project is a first stage aiming at strengthening the local expertise in the new Information and Communication technologies applied to natural disasters mitigation, by establishing linkages between European and Asian institutions. 

A Web-forum, seminars and a study tour in Europe will provide Asian and International institutions involved in forecasting, early warning and preparedness to cope with disasters an opportunity to have access to the European expertise and to initiate possible joint research in a later stage
